INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Financial Services Forum is accepting applications for interns in our Washington, DC office. The Forum is a financial and economic policy organization comprised of the chief executive officers of 20 of the largest and most diversified financial institutions with operations in the United States. The purpose of the Forum is to promote policies that enhance savings and investment in the United States, and that ensure an open, competitive and sound financial services global marketplace.

Interning at the Forum will provide exposure to a wide array of policy issues affecting the financial services industry. Interns have the opportunity to attend congressional hearings, write reports and briefings on financial legislation, and coordinate discussions and meetings concerning some of the most significant topics surrounding the financial sector.

Responsibilities for the internship program include:

  • Monitoring legislation and assisting in correspondence with the House, Senate and White House on issues important to the Forum;
  • Researching issues of importance to the financial services sector and providing administrative staff support to the Forum; and,
  • Assisting with Forum conferences and event planning.

Ideal candidates for this internship should:

  • have an academic background or experience in government, international studies, or economics/finance;
  • be interested in learning more about finance, public policy, and the legislative process;
  • be organized, focused, and able to take on multiple tasks; and,
  • enjoy working in a fun team atmosphere.

While Forum internships are unpaid, most colleges and universities offer credit for internships of this nature.
