As part of the Forum’s mission to encourage a barrier-free global marketplace, the Forum advocates a successful conclusion to the Doha Trade Round and freer trade in financial services.
Global trade is vital to the continued growth of the world economy and is one of the single most powerful tools we have to address global poverty. The World Bank estimates that a good conclusion to the Doha Round could lift as many as 140 million people out of poverty.
