Forum President & COO to discuss state of financial regulatory reform

at U.S. Chamber’s Annual Capital Markets Summit

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Financial Services Forum President and Chief Operating Officer Rob Nichols will be a featured panelist at the U.S. Chamber Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness’ 4th Annual Capital Markets Summit: “Getting Main Street Back to Work,” on Wednesday, March 24.

Nichols will address the current state of financial regulatory reform efforts and the necessary steps that must be taken to enact such reform. Other panelists include Barry Melancon, President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; David Sampson, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America; Paul Stevens, President of the Investment Company Institution; and Steve Bartlett, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Roundtable. The Financial Times’ Business and Politics Correspondent Tom Braithwaite will moderate the panel discussion, which begins at 3:15 p.m.

The panel is a part of a daylong summit that also features additional government and industry leaders including Senator Bob Corker (R-TN); Neil Wolin, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury; Thomas J. Donohue, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH); Thomas Hoenig, President and CEO of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank; and Kelly King, President and CEO of BB&T Corporation.

The summit will take place at the Hall of Flags at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, 1615 H Street, NW, Washington, D.C. Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the program from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
