Erica Hurtt

Senior Vice President for Communications

Erica Hurtt is Senior Vice President for Communications at the Financial Services Forum.

Prior to joining the Forum, Erica was an Emmy Award-winning television news reporter and anchor — most recently with WTVG in Toledo, OH.  In her first reporting job, Erica was the state capitol correspondent for five CBS affiliates in Montana. Her journalism career also included stops in the Czech Republic, Washington, D.C., and Illinois. She reported on a wide array of issues and events, including the 2000 Republican National Convention and the 2006 Super Bowl.

Erica's reporting earned her several awards from the National Television Academy, the Associated Press, the Society for Professional Journalists, and the Radio-Television News Directors Association & Foundation.

Erica began her career in public relations and marketing where she worked for the Ivy League. As a public information officer, Erica managed publications and events for the Princeton-based collegiate athletic association.

Erica is a native of Baltimore, Md. She holds a B.A. from Loyola College and an M.S. from Northwestern University.

Erica is a proud mentor of a 13-year-old girl through Hope and a Home. She is a member of Washington Women in Public Relations and serves on its pro bono committee. Erica's love of photography, travel, and children also led her to volunteer with Dog Meets World, a photo diplomacy project that takes and gives photographs to children in need around the world.
